• Counter Mala is used in counting of jap Mala rounds like if someone completes a round of Japa Mala then one bead taken down and it helps in remember the counts of japa.
• Counter Mala (Sakshi Mala) contains 20 beads. We should tie it to the Japa Bead bag in such a way that it should be separated into two chunks of 16 beads and 4 beads. The first part contains the 16 beads should be used for counting the number of japa rounds and extra 4 beads are used by us if we feel missed any round during the 16 rounds.
